My nightmares do not consist of things that I know, but of things I do not know but which history tells me will likely happen. Here are some of those things I don’t know.
- We do not know what the techno-fascists have done with all of the data they stole from the Treasury Department and the Social Security Administration, nor do we know what they may do with it in the future. We do know, however, that the data can be used for nefarious purposes. (See Item No. 8 in http://www.themadwriter.us/american-nazis-9404.htm)
- We do not know (but we can guess) what the long-term effects might be from dismantling HHS, FEMA, CDC, EPA, and other vital government agencies. It could take a decade or more to fully understand how current changes will effect the future. Of course, the immediate changes may be obvious (no COVID vaccines, etc.), but it’s the long-term ripple effects that worry me. Will we connect increased rates of Hepatitis-B with the decision to make that vaccine optional instead of mandatory?
- We do not know (but we can guess) what the long-term effects might be from our self-imposed tariff wars. (Hint: See how Brexit has decimated the British economy, creating fertile ground for fascism.)
- We do not know (but we can guess) what the long-term effects might be from the kidnapping and deportation of those deemed “undesirable.” At the minimum, we know that there is a human and financial toll. Further, when governments systematically targets its own people based on gender, race, ethnicity, political affiliation, or fictitious characteristics (DEI, Wokeism, CRT, Antifa), history tells us that that society eventually collapses in on itself.
Much can be added to this list. The problem is how to undo the damage. It will take much more than a mid-term election. It will take much more than a different president. It will take a wholesale change and rethinking of everything we have taken for granted.
