Do Not Go Gentle – The Mad Writer

I have a strange collection of books. One is called “The Auschwitz Album.” When Auschwitz was liberated, one of the survivors found an SS officer’s photo album. She took it.

For about a month she was in the Russian-controlled sector. When she decided to leave the sector, a soldier took the album from her. She shrieked for hours. To shut her up, they gave her back the album.

We need to shriek for our country. We need to shriek for the loss of our (imperfect) democracy. We need to shriek for human dignity, for the freeing of ICE detainees, for the 1,500 children separated during Hitler 1.0 and who have still not been united with their families. We should storm Fox News, Newsmax, See B.S. and shriek.

Too many believe that we have been sleepwalking into fascistic tyranny. The truth is much worse. Too many have walked right into it with their eyes open and minds unable to process it. Too many still cling to the belief that the non-existent guardrails will save them, or that the next iPhone update will solve all their problems. A part of me understands how difficult it is to see the enormity of what has taken place. Another part of me doesn’t understand why others aren’t shrieking from the rooftops.

In my dark, sick humor, I sometimes talk about a book called “Neighbors.” It’s the heart-warming story about a small Polish town, Jedwabne (pronounced “Yed Waab Na”), that herded the town’s Jews (people they have known for generations) into a barn and burned them to death. We have become Jedwabne, metaphorically burning human beings and everything else with it.

The Logic Of Extermination

How do we go from deporting undesirables to exterminating them? Here’s a possible scenario.

• Trump takes control of the Federal Reserve.

• Hyperinflation destroys the U.S. and world economies.

• Food is economically rationed (if you ain’t got the money, you ain’t gonna eat). People are desperate for jobs, desperate for help.

• Monies spent on “undesirables” is, instead, redirected to “certified” white families.

• To assure that nothing interrupts ethnic cleansing, undesirables are sold as slave labor for any “legitimate” need. When they’re physically spent, they are gassed and incinerated.
